Yoga and Hypoxic Breathwork

In this 2 hour session, Lucas guides you through a gentle, beginner-level Yoga session to open the practice, centre your mind on your breathing and body and prepare you for deeper breathwork. Using both ancient techniques from the east (Pranayama & Shamanic) and more modern techniques from the west (Wim-Hoff, Funnel Breath) he will guide you through a variety of breathwork practices that put the body under positive adaptive stress - essentially massaging between 2 different branches of your ANS (autonomic nervous system) in a safe environment. There will be rhythmic music to help keep you focused, present and grounded. This workshop will provide the first basic steps to breathwork so you create a self care routine at home afterwards.

Lucas is a dedicated & passionate Hatha Yoga Teacher and Hypoxic Breathwork Coach, specialising in nervous system regulation, based out of Christchurch Central. Trained and certified through Oxygen Advantage & Reconnect Breath, as well as recently completing his National Diploma in Yoga Teaching via NZIHF, Lucas brings a more science based approach to the breath-led practices of Hatha Yoga & Hypoxic Breathwork both online and in-person.

Focused squarely "training the nervous system" over time using both practices, Lucas guides using both Ancient techniques from the east (Pranayama & Shamanic) and more modern techniques from the west (Wim-Hoff, Funnel Breath) along with licensed rhythmic music to put the body under positive adaptive stress - essentially massaging between 2 different branches of your ANS (autonomic nervous system).

Combined with gentle, beginner-level Yoga to open the practice, this becomes a powerful way to participate in self-care.

When not teaching these combined sessions, Lucas makes high-quality video & audio content for breathers to follow-along outside of class, as its his core belief the magic happens within the body when a consistent practice is introduced into your life over time.
