Costs
The MANZ membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March each year.
Starting from the March/April 2024 renewal cycle, the Registered Massage Therapist Annual Fee will be $250.
All new memberships are charged a one off non-refundable administration fee. This fee is $50 for applicants who achieved their qualification in NZ and $200 for applicants who achieved their qualification overseas. A pro-rata reduction in fees is offered only ONCE for members joining during the year. The amount will be specified by MANZ, once your application has been approved. Pro-rata fees are not available for membership renewals.
Upgrades from one level of Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to another, e.g. from level 5 to level 6 or 7, and from student to RMT are free. This covers until the end of the current membership period. When the new membership period begins, full fees are payable. Fees include GST

Please note: The pricing for Registered Massage Therapists in the table above is based on a pro-rata reduction in fees according to the time of year the application is placed. Members do not pay a quarterly fee. $250* is the full annual fee for the period from 1st April until 31st March the following year. Pro-rata fees are not available for membership renewals.
As from 1 April 2017, the levels of membership for Registered Massage Therapists (formally Remedial Massage Therapists and Certified Massage Therapists) has changed. Please refer to the Levels page for more information

Process
To become a member of MANZ you must complete the appropriate membership application, submit the required documentation and pay the required fee.
This can all be done online. Membership applications and renewals are not approved until all information has been provided, membership fees have been paid and applications have been processed.
Membership renewals applications must include Continuing Professional Development (CPD) evidence. The CPD policy is available on the members-only area on the website.
