Perimenopause & Pain
This session is geared towards helping the therapists. The connection between hormones, pain, inflammation, nervous system overwhelm, burnout, joint pain, recovery, sleep and emotional load is massive, yet many women still do not realise what is happening inside their own bodies.
This will be a really practical and empowering session that helps therapists better understand:
• the hormonal changes occurring during perimenopause
• why pain, inflammation and joint symptoms can suddenly appear or worsen
• the role of estrogen within the musculoskeletal and nervous systems
• the emotional and cognitive load many women experience
• practical support options including HRT, movement, recovery, nervous system support and lifestyle strategies
• how to better recognise and support these patterns within clients and themselves

Founder of Making Menopause Marvellous Women's Health Advocate My journey into the world of women's health began with my extensive career as a gynaecology nurse and midwife. Over the years, I had the privilege of supporting countless women through various stages of their lives, from pregnancy and childbirth to managing gynaecological conditions. This experience gave me a deep understanding of the unique challenges women face and the importance of providing compassionate, evidence-based care. My menopause journey inspired my shift to mind coaching, combining my medical background with new skills in hypnotherapy and NLP. My transition into mind coaching was deeply rooted in my own healing journey. As I approached menopause, I faced my own set of physical, emotional, and psychological changes. This period of my life became a transformative time where I learned the importance of self-love, acceptance, and releasing the limiting beliefs that were holding me back from making my life marvellous and fulfilling. Through this personal journey, I upskilled first as a hypnotherapist and then completed a year-long course to become a Mind Coach, focusing on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). These new skills, combined with my medical background, provided me with a holistic toolkit to support women through their menopausal journey by combining the holistic support and the medical benefits of HRT. |
